UU the Vote at General Assembly 2022

UUA General Assembly, our annual meeting of the Unitarian Universalist Association, is in Portland, Oregon this year from June 21st-June 26th. Whether attending GA in person or virtually, UU the Vote has hybrid events for you! All events are open to the public unless noted.

UU the Vote staff and volunteers will be hosting events throughout General Assembly at the Side With Love ‘Hub’ – the Willamette 1AB Ballroom in the Hyatt Regency in Portland, OR. Stop by to say ‘hi’, grab your Side With Love Bingo card, make a sign for the public witness, enjoy a moment of reflection at our altar, and more! Note: General Assembly registration is required for entry to the room.

June 23 at 7:30pm PT: Faith on Fire for Democracy – Rally for UU the Vote

Building on the incredible momentum from 2020 when over 5,000 volunteers in 450 congregations contacted more than 3 million voters, UU the Vote 2022 is ready to fight for a world where all communities are free and thriving.

June 24 at 1:45pm PT: Program #311 Learn to UU the Vote in 2022

Join us for our UU the Vote Workshop online in the Whova app or in person at Ballroom 201-202 in the Oregon Convention Center as we dig deeper into our UU the Vote state strategy and the organizing tools we will be using through November. Led by our Campaign Manager, JaZahn Hicks and joined by partners across the country, we will discuss the races and initiatives we are watching and organizing for and why you should get involved. NOTE: General Assembly virtual registration required to view online.

June 25 at 12:30pm PT: Letter Writing Party

Join us for our UU The Vote @ GA Letter Writing Party! Here, we will be joined by our partner Vote Forward to learn how to write letters to voters and how to host our own letter writing parties. After the training, we will write letters and fellowship together as a community. This event is hybrid! Sign up here.
